Tulasi Lamsal, 35, was shaking her legs on the dance floor with her peers on Saturday in Bhaktapur. She said, “ I have never has done it before”. She was so excited to sing and dance with her friends in a team-building event organized by the mom’s club to observe the International Women’s Day in coordination of INCLUDED Nepal.
Tulasi is a new member of the mom’s club in Manohara Community Center. "I am a regular attendant to the women's movements, protests and rallies organized by different NGO's, but this trip was not like any other activity that I have been part of before and it was really an amazing experience for me. Now I realized why my friends said that mom's club is not meant only for saving and credit”.
Although Bhaktapur Durbar Square is only 4 kilometers away from her house in Manahora, it was a dare dream to be there on her own. The women were given a task to find the answers of 10 questions related to the Bhaktapur Durbar Square. “We got all the answers correct in the “Know Your City” game but lost the competition as we could not do well in dancing and singing talent. Now, all I want to do is to learn how to dance since it is something that would come in handy wherever I go”, emphasized Tulasi.
