Salam’s father is a carpenter. Salam looks up to his father and he hopes to become an engineer so that he can design and construct houses.

Salam is a 10-year-old resident of Manohara. He previously attended the local government school and was allowed to move on to Class 3. However, when he transferred to his current boarding school he was moved to Class 1. In the new school he has advanced to become the first boy in class. In school, his favorite subject is Nepali but at ASP his favorite part is working with his friends from the new school.

At home Salam lives with his mother, father, and three sisters. He likes the open space that is near Manohara. In his free time he plays football and hide-and-seek with his friends.
