When she was younger Sirmaya wanted to go abroad for work but after the plane crash in Manohara she is too afraid to fly. Her new dream is to focus on her wonderful dancing skills and to become a dance instructor. She practices with her sister every day at home.

Sirmaya is 10 years old and is in Class 5 at the government school near Manohara. She likes ASP because it helps her finish her homework and work on her favorite subject, Nepali. Hopefully ASP will help her succeed in her hardest subjects, math, social studies, and science, which she failed last exam period.

Sirmaya’s mother was supposed to go to Kyrgyzstan to work but was instead sent to Oman. After ASP Sirmaya helps her father and older sister at home by making sure that there is water. The new water filter system in the community has helped her job a lot because Sirmaya has quick and easy access to clean water.
