“My time was respected at INCLUDED and I did not expect the amount of responsibility they entrusted upon me even though I was just an intern. The autonomy I had here is something that one does not get working as an intern in other organizations.”

After five months of exceptional performance, INCLUDED Nepal’s intern, Meredith Cantwell leaves us with fond memories. Before joining the office, Meredith recalls that she was a bit worried since it is a small organization and she was unsure whether she would receive any opportunities to learn. However, in her own words, she says “I feel accomplished—in the short time I got to develop the After School Program (ASP) curriculum, the health survey, Moms’ and Early Childhood Development (ECD) database and got hands on experience in the field.” When asked about the one thing she will take back she claims that, despite the language barrier, the knowledge she gained and the experience she has gotten from observing local NGO—INGO partner relationships is going to be invaluable.

“My time was respected at INCLUDED and I did not expect the amount of responsibility they entrusted upon me even though I was just an intern. The autonomy I had here is something that one does not get working as an intern in other organizations.”

The contribution made by Meredith has been extremely helpful and we wish her all the very best in her future endeavours.
