A drawing competition was organized in the Agargaon Community Center with the support of the agargaon migrant community and the center team at 3.00 pm on August 14, 2014 as a part of observing National Mourning Day (15th August) and the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The event took place one day before the National Mourning Day (15th August) in the Agargaon Community Center. Drawing competition, discussion about Father of the Nation’s death Anniversary, INCLUDED program issues, cultural event as well as prize giving ceremony were the items of the event. The children of both ECD and ASP programs participated in the drawing competition in 3 groups and in the cultural event. A total 9 of competitors was awarded. Community people, parents, children, EC Bangladesh center team and the representative from INCLUDED were present as guest there.
Mr. Abdur Rashid, one of the community leaders expressed his satisfaction over the event by saying, “I feel proud and honor to be a guest in the program. I will participate all of your programs with slum children”.
The event successfully raised children’s attention to their study and to the center as well.
